Roma and Sinti
Roma and Sinti: Racism Review
Roma and Sinti people are European ethnic minority groups often known as Travelers or, less acceptably, as Gypsies. They have an ancient and rich culture which includes nomadic traditions and a strong arts culture. Traditionally they suffered severe discrimination. In many places they are still socially and economically marginalized.
Xenophobia against Roma/Sinti/Gypsies/Travelers was addressed in substantial measure in the Declaration at WCAR so is on the agenda for the Durban Review Conference.
